Everything seems to be complex, why? Perhaps, because this life is very short & unpredictable. You never know what’s going to happen tonight or even tomorrow, which is why all things need to be done sensibly and moderately. Also, this is why we need to start thinking of the things of heaven and not the things of the earth. (Colossians 3:2)
It is important to know your priorities, if not at some point confusion will definitely set in.
Currently, I’ve been feeling down and I thought life was coming at me too fast for me to handle. I honestly don’t know what initiated that. I feel like it’s the devil trying to mess with me but because of the God that I serve I’m being delivered. At first, it was getting to me but I sat down and realised that I’m not doing something right, which is remembering that God doesn’t give his children too much for them to handle.
To be frank, always having someone to talk to helps a lot, they tend to lift your spirit up and put a smile on your face, which is a very sensational act. I’m usually a very happy, energetic, crazy, silly, friendly young lady but suddenly under two days, things changed but I thank God I’m better now. Although, I’m still so puzzled as to how this started.
I am a young lady who has developed a high quality of communication and tolerance skills. I’m very passionate about people’s feelings and achieving a career in order to be successful. My main priority in this life is to have a very delightful and substantial relationship with God.
My current relationship with God isn’t the easiest but I keep fighting because I know I will eventually get to where I want to be. I know Jesus loves me and he died for me. Ephesians 1:7-8 :In Him we have redemption [that is, our deliverance and salvation] through His blood, [which paid the penalty for our sin and resulted in] the forgiveness and complete pardon of our sin, in accordance with the riches of His grace which He lavished on us. In all wisdom and understanding. This verse says it all about what God has done for us and this needs to sink in. I know he has agape love for me unlike human beings who switch up within a little amount of time. He is always there for me whenever I need him, he is the definition of a true BEST FRIEND, because through all things, (Psalm 103:12: As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.) He still forgives with all his heart and wants me to come back to him no matter what, but this doesn’t give me the right to take him for granted.
God is a miracle worker, a destiny changer, a powerful healer, He is a way maker, He is greater than the greatest, wiser than the wisest, He is better than the best; He is higher than the highest. He is Omnipresent, Omnipotent, and Jehovah Shammah. God is the unchangeable changer, Jehovah Nissi, He is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, there is honestly no one like him and none can be compared to him.
God has more than enough wonderful things planned for all his children and he is waiting for each and every one of us to accept him as our personal Lord and Saviour, in order to enjoy these things. 1 Corinthians 2:9: That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.”
Jeremiah 29:11: For I know the plans I have for you, “says the LORD.” They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. These scriptures tell us that God has great plans in store for us & I don’t think anyone wants to miss them!
As I move on with my walk with God, my past always haunts me and I hate to think of it, but honestly and truly the devil reminds me of it. I spoke to a Pastor about this and this were his exact words: don’t be surprised because things like that always happen, the devil is trying to find its way back into your life, so the solution is for you to continue praying and let God take over and fight the battle for you. That experience was extremely devastating I must say, but I am an overcomer and I know with God all things are possible, so eventually it stopped.
My past wasn’t so terrible, However, I didn’t have to wait for it to be before I would find Christ. I was once a sinner and I’m currently not the definition of a perfect Christian but I know I wasn’t who God wanted me to be. I know I made so many mistakes, I wont define them as regrets rather I’d describe them as mistakes I learnt from, I know I took God for granted so many times because of how merciful he is.
After a while, I wondered and pondered about how all the things of this world are temporary and there’s no positive outcome from them, so what’s the whole point? This was the day my life changed. God knew what I was going through and used that thought to change my ways and to lead me through the right path. Romans 6:14: For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. Ever since that day, I gave my life to Christ and I can confidently say that so many things in my life have changed and leading me to become a happier person.
Once you give your life to Christ you are cleansed and pure, this scripture below shows all the evidence. 2 Corinthians 5:17: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things have passed away and all things have become new. I can see a difference in myself, which makes me know that I am progressing. In all honesty, it’s not been easy but I know I’d get there gradually and you will too.
I’d just conclude with this scripture, which is Ephesians 3:20& 21 and it says: Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the Church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.
Thanks for taking out time to read this, May God bless and uphold you! 🙂
